Happy Birthday to Cole Porter! Although Cole Porter’s legal birth certificate gives his birth as June 9, 1893, he was actually born on this day in 1891. His mother had it changed believing his musical talent would be more impressive in a 12 year old than a 14 year old. Just goes to show you that stage moms were around long before Toddler and Tiaras.
